The Ballantyne Area - Championship Golf

At heart of Ballantyne lies the premier residential community, Ballantyne Country Club. Here, the natural beauty of towering pines, shady oaks, lakes, rolling hills and streams graces the community's more than 700 acres and provides a picturesque backdrop to homes and the championship golf course. Bike trails wind through the property, and multiple neighborhood parks provide ideal spots for a picnic, a softball game or simply enjoying nature.

Careful planning has ensured that children will always have a place to play and enjoy the outdoors close to home. Adults will equally enjoy the community design for running, a leisurely walk or an afternoon bike ride, in addition to the many amenities offered by Club membership. The entire Ballantyne Country Club community has been designed especially for the family.

Hole
Description
1
390 yards
Par 4
A great starting hole. The elevated tee shot must be played close to the bunker on the left for the best angle into this green, which is set on a diagonal.
2
363 yards
Par 4
A good drive will leave you with a short-iron to this well-guarded green. Beware of the grassy swale in front and the lake to the right.
3
180 yards
Par 3
A beautiful Par-3 featuring a green perched on the edge of a large lake. A good tee shot is essential in order to avoid the water and surrounding bunkers.
4
370 yards
Par 4
The tee shot must be both long and accurate in order to approach this heavily bunkered green with a mid- to short-iron.
5
540 yards
Par 5
This first Par-5 at Ballantyne will test your mettle. Two good shots will leave a wedge to this green, but stay clear of the dangerous bunker on the right.
6
470 yards
Par 4
Drive distance is a premium on the course's longes Par-4. The entrance to the green is unobstructed, thereby allowing the approach to roll into the surface.
7
575 yards
Par 5
A dramatic view from the tee. Keep your drive well left of the lake and adjacent bunker. The second shot must negotiate a series of bunkers cut into the slopes on both sides of this valley hole. Two good shots will leave you with a short-iron to the green.
8
200 yards
Par 3
This scenic Par-3 requires both length and accuracy off the tee. The deep grass pocket on the right will save a slightly errant shot.
9
420 yards
Par 4
This long Par-4 leading back to the Clubhouse requires a good drive and an accurate mid-iron to avoid the deep bunker on the right side of the green.
10
415 yards
Par 4
Placed in a natural setting, this slight dog-leg left Par-4 requires a strong drive. Oval bunkers fortify this elevated green complex.
11
520 yards
Par 5
A big hitter's dream. This Par-5 can be reached in two shots, but be sure to take enough club and clear the creek guarding the front of the green.
12
190 yards
Par 3
Enjoy the view on this downhill Par-3, and then hit a solid long-iron across the water. A misplaced tee shot could end up bunkered or in a watery grave.
13
350 yards
Par 4
Accuracy off the tee is essential for a good score on this short Par-4. The approach must carry a pond and avoid a series of grass and sand bunkers surrounding the green.
14
440 yards
Par 4
Two long and accurate shots are required to reach this tree-lined Par-4 in regulation. Once on the green, uniquely sculptured contours will challenge your putting skills.
15
460 yards
Par 4
This 460-yard Par-4 requires a strong drive and an approach across a valley into a green which is benched into the natural slope. Bunkers guard both sides of the green.
16
380 yards
Par 4
Two well-placed shots are a must to reach this green protected by a small stream and bunkers on the right and a cluster of pot bunkers and grass hollows on the left.
17
215 yards
Par 3
Seven tee boxes allow the longest Par-3 at Ballantyne to be set up with infinite variety. This downhill shot requires a complete carry over the water, as the green sits immediately adjacent to the lake.
18
560 yards
Par 5
This long Par-5 is a tremendous conclusion to your round. Strategic bunkering throughout the fairways and surrounding the green will challenge each shot and make par a very good score.
